Town of Primrose

Important: Due to changes in the 9-1-1 center for Dane County it is easier for dispatchers to find you if you indicate that you are in the Town of Primrose.  If you call 9-1-1, when the dispatcher asks for your address, also indicate that you are in the Town of Primrose.  Our township is covered by New Glarus EMS and Fire, Mount Horeb EMS and Fire, and Belleville EMS. The dispatcher will contact the proper entity to assist you if they know you are in the Town of Primrose.

Municipal Clerk Position Available
The Town of Primrose (population 730) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of municipal clerk. Financial and administrative skills are essential. Ideal requirements include strong organizational skills; knowledge and experience with governmental accounting, municipal taxation process, budgeting, payroll, tax depositing and reporting; municipal records management; election administration; and website maintenance. Computer skills are critical and should include proficiency with suite of MS Office applications, Quick Books, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Excellent communication skills are also necessary – written, phone, e-mail, and in person. This position requires approximately 20 hours per week. Compensation is $15,000 annually. Election Worker Positions Available
The Town of Primrose is in search of five additional election workers to fill recent vacancies. The compensation for this position is $8 per hour. Training will be provided and is required in advance of each election. Shift hours for Election Workers is typically from 6:30am – 1:30pm and 1:30pm – 8:30pm however, there is flexibility in scheduling. Please notify the clerk of your interest in supporting the election process in our community at clerk@tn.primrose.wi.gov.
