Bike the Barns III: Ride to Support Local Food, Farmers, and Families in Need

Madison-Bike the Barns, the Madison Area Community Supported Agriculture Coalition's (MACSAC) third annual Partner Shares Fundraiser ride will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009. This unique bike tour will take riders to community supported agriculture and family farms around south-centeral Wisconsin in support of MACSAC's Partner Shares Program, a community initiative to reduce hunger, improve nutrition and support local farmers.

7/25/09 The Village of New Glarus is planning to hold a triathlon on Sunday, August 2. The route is CTH O to Pioneer to Hustad Valley Road to Primrose Center to Nessa, to U and back to O on to New Glarus.

Intent
This open and public “electronic public hearing” or “electronic discussion forum” is for people interested in topical information pertaining to the Town of Primrose Comprehensive Plan. It is intended to serve as an additional venue where Town of Primrose community members can provide input and discuss related topics. No decisions will be made by the Steering Committee in this forum. All submitted content (even removed content) and email addresses become a matter of public record and subject to any open meeting request.

Official Public Meeting Notice
This hereby serves as an official notice pursuant to the state Open Meetings Law that a possible quorum of town governmental bodies may exist while participating on the Town of Primrose Town Square, accessible online at this listed web address: http://www.tn.primrose.wi.gov/townsquare/index.php. The Town Square discussions will last the duration of the Town of Primrose Comprehensive Plan project (approximately December, 2009). At any given time, a quorum of the Town Board, the Planning Commission, or the Steering Committee could be participating in a discussion and informational purposes only. The websites are all publicly accessible and reviewable.

People who do not have a computer or access to the Internet at work or home can generally find free publicly accessible terminals for use at their local library. Alternative means of accessing this information are available; please contact the Town Clerk at 608-832-4471. Information taken off-line (due to limited server space) will also be made available for public review and subject to open records requests. This announcement will be posted permanently at the Town Hall until the project ends.

Town of Primrose Residents is once again offering weather/hazard radios to the public. The County will purchase the radios and will resell them at cost to the residents. Cost is $22.68. If you are interested in one of these radios, please call the clerk at 832-4471.

The next Annual Meeting will be a week after the spring election in 2009 at 7:30.

NOTICE:
TO: Town of Primrose Residents Dane County Emergency Management is introducing a pilot program to distribute all-hazard radios to the public. The County will purchase the radios and work through local governments to resell them at cost to the residents. The approximate cost is $25./$30. If you are interested in one of these radios, please call the clerk at 832-4471 by May 18. Thank you.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office has created a Traffic Safety Team to address the most serious traffic problems reported. Team members include deputies Randy Wiessinger, Todd Huppert and Steve Mueller. Sheriff's Office beat deputies will still handle complaints, including isolated incidents and continue to work with citizens to address problems in their neighborhoods.
