Southwest Dane Outreach
The Town of Primrose is part of the Southwest Dane Outreach District. The district includes the Villages of Mount Horeb and Blue Mounds and the Towns of Blue Mounds, Springdale, Perry and Primose. The district is governed by a board with representatives in each town or village. Mary Ann Hopp is the Primrose Representative.
The purpose of the organization is to provide outreach services to area senior citizens (people over 60), including case management, meals on wheels, nutrition sites and transportation.
Numbers: About 100 Primrose senior citizens are eligible for services.
Dane County (60%) and the local communities (40%) in the district fund Southwest Dane Outreach. The total budget for Southwest Dane Outreach for this year is $87,704. Primrose’s portion of the budget for this year is $1,080. Each community’s payment to the district in based on population.
Services: These services are free to seniors.
The Deer Creek nutrition site in Primrose provides meals to older adults on Tuesdays.

If you are in need, anyone who has a mailing address of Belleville, WI is eligible to use the Belleville food pantry.

You do not have to live in the Village of Belleville. You do have to bring in a utility bill or signed lease that shows a Belleville, WI address.
Food pantry clients are allowed one grocery bag of food once per week.
Donations are made to the food pantry from the local churches, scouts, school food drives and cash donations. Donations of produce during peak garden times are appreciated. A freezer and refrigerator for perishables is located at the Food Pantry.
The Village of Belleville has Christmas and Thanksgiving food baskets made up for food pantry clients.
The food pantry is open from 8-5 daily. No appointment is necessary, however, if the back room is in use due to voting, meetings, etc. clients will have to come back another day. |
